$500 of GFs money to spend...

My GF wanted to get me a watch for our anniversary, but i have expensive taste and im yet to find one i really like. Not to mention I am not sure i really want/need a watch. I know a watch or something similar is more a traditional anniversary gift/keep sake, but i love my E30!

So since she said she is willing to spend ~$500-600 is it reasonable to ask for car parts?

things i want/need

-M42 rad
-Poly Bushings (all around)
-new wider wheels (16x8 )
-camber plates/new upper strut mount
-BBK
-plate filler(front and rear)
-sway bars
-stiffer springs/GC coil conversion for billy struts

500-600 is stupid amount of money, I always thought a day out and a very fancy dinner was what really matters. To me items and money mean nothing...but Sways or BBK ;)

If you go out to nice places, I would buy a suit and a cheaper watch so that when you guys are together, she knows you look good because of her gift.

A car gift is shallow and selfish and won't make her happy, the point of giving someone a gift is to make each other happy.

i say you IF YOU ARE GOING TO BUY e30 parts. then buy her something small with a bit of that money so she wont be mad you bought e30 parts.

500 can put you into some VERY good auto watches, Marathon, Hamilton, Auto Seiko's, even can find Oris in that range much of the time in good used shape.. ANd put you into some of the best quartz watches new.

Ebay is a very very good source for GOOD watches (grey market IE.. Non Authorized dealer, but still new and real in most cases just buy from a reputable seller) there are other good non traditional sources as well.

I would not ask for e30 parts, ( I have been down a similar road before ) take the watch or similar keep sake thing and go from there. e30e nailed it
