Maybe. But frankly, if I could buy a new car that drove like an E30, I would do it tomorrow. There aren't any subjective virtues in an older PC delivers that I can think of. :)

...and anyway, if you're going to spend money on performance, start with an SSD. Nothing else will give you that kind of performance bump.

Aren't you in PA? Ha, I have been enjoying the rain. I have been taking my dirtbike out every day to the quarry to play with mud.

On topic:
I have an alienware and run their liquid cooling. i7 930 quad core 2.8GHz, not overclocked, air gets sucked in through the front and exits the back. Also a "honey comb" design on top to dissipate heat, I never go over 32°C, and that's with HEAVY gaming (hours) like WoW, just normally surfing the web and playing Counter-Strike, I don't go over 27-28°C.

Another thing that helps is I have the nVidia GTX460 which also has a fan, cools the video card off very well.
