I used to be really into it about ten years ago, to the point when I had hook-ups at Huf and NORT in SF. These days I'm mostly wearing the few pairs I've managed to keep, which mostly happen to be Air Max and running shoes. I do still wear my first pair of SBs (Stussys), but I'm pretty much done with the sneakerhead/hypebeast thing.1991 318is - custom dents, loud steering, peeling clear coat, cracked seats. <3 <3

i kind of feel the same way. i never had deep connects like HUF. but i did have a nice amount of sb's that i ended up selling and living off of for 2 years.... but i feel exactly how you do. i still have a couple of pairs but lately i've been in LOVE with air max 1's and asics gel lyte 3's and new balance releasesI used to be really into it about ten years ago, to the point when I had hook-ups at Huf and NORT in SF. They just look so much better to me now, probably because the older I get the more I dress like an old man going for a walk. I manages to get all of the colors or Air Safaris that I was on the hunt for, all I need now are some Zoom Spiridons and I might call it quits for good.haha i caught that thread!

since starting at nike a year ago i've bought quite a few pairs of shoes, but i still hate paying more than $40 for a pair and wouldn't say i'm a "collector". i never really wore nike before starting there (always wore adidas sambas), but now i have 10 pairs.
the free run's are ridiculously comfortable but look kind of goofy. seems like everyone at the office has a pair.
my most recent shoe purchase was 2 pairs of SB Janoskis which i really love. before that i bought the P-Rod 4's which are also great. i tend to gravitate toward sportswear, 6.0, or SB shoes.
these are the janoski colors i got:

even tho im only 20 so i dont think im that old...i think the reason i like running shoes now is that they are not so "loud" if you get what i mean? like my sb's used to be rare but they had some goofy ass colors that now i think back and feel stupid for wearing. i just like the fact that not everyone is going to be wearing what i have and still have a clean look. They just look so much better to me now, probably because the older I get the more I dress like an old man going for a walk. i like janoskis and free run's but i fend to overpronate a bit so they would look stupid on me.since starting at nike a year ago i've bought quite a few pairs of shoes, but i still hate paying more than $40 for a pair and wouldn't say i'm a "collector". i never really wore nike before starting there (always wore adidas sambas), but now i have 10 pairs.

BTW guys i didnt mean paying like 150 + to be considered a collection. i just meant like being able to appreciate a pair]Comment

Ive got a few pairs of rare shoes left. I had a bunch of SB's but of course sold em off when they hit their highest points.
Think I have some Marc Jacobs Vans left, few SB Classics, couple AM1's. Mostly buy dress shoes now. So Ive been diving into the higher fashion stuff. Too many fucking hobbies!
Anyone wanna buy these? MINT, worn once. Clean bottom sole. These are the ones to have in the MJ line.
