soon the storage capacity of electric car batteries will also be an asset (while they're plugged in) and will eventually lead to electric car owners getting paybacks

I have a solar hot water system tied into my gas hot water heater. Wasn't cheap and I think I'm entitled to more rebates but I keep forgetting to call all the necessary companies to check. I shouldn't need to pay much at all for hot water with the system or so they say.

If I stay in this house for more than 5/8/10 years it's going to be a hell of a lot more efficient than it already is. Block home built in the 70's, and I've been doing the small stuff but I still have a lot more I want to do before I consider it to meet my standards. I may add PV panels but as stated they keep getting better.

I'd love to have my meter go backwards and really anywhere in the southwest should have free energy for how much sun we get.
