Almost every time i weld i grab hot metal with my bare hands.

Whenever I do electrical work, I skin the cables with a sharp knife and use my thumb as a pad. Then I heat shrink them and press the hot crap with my fingers.
So I end up with cut and burned fingers every time, even though I know there're better ways to do it.

I swear, I can foresee myself slipping with a screwdriver while prying something but I keep doing it anyways. Today I was fixing my CV joints, prying the dust cover off, I slipped and stabbed myself in the other hand right between the thumb and finger. So I had to refresh my cv joints with that nasty old cv grease, degreaser and brake cleaner getting in my cut.
