I read that filming had started. Filmed in Ireland, Scotland, and Morocco.

The dragons are setting up for the new book probably. The khaleesi did not die in the fire. How many times did she refer to fire and dragons. The dragons are born of fire.

I love how the show makes you really despise the shit head characters. The downside to making my wife sit through the episodes several times is that she will try and pay me back with true blood. Yawn, I can catch up on sleep on the couch or go tinker in the garage.

Either way I have reading to do.

GRRM already laid out all of the twists and character wrap ups for all 7 seasons/books in the event that the last two books don't get written or GRRM keels over.

Don't worry, you aren't missing anything. It just says that the next season is coming in Spring 2012 and doesn't show any footage because they haven't started filming yet.

Also books vs movies/shows is always terrible. I hate reading a good book, planting characters in my head and forming my own image and then watching a movie/show and it's completely off from what you had in mind. But I like this show and it came as a pleasant surprise when I saw the first episode.
Five actually, with the fifth coming out July 17th if I recall correct.

One of the things I loved about the first book is R. R. Martin has no issues killing off key characters early and often! Its something refreshing that I dont usually find in most fantasy novels. I am on the 4th book and I am taking my time so I finish right around when the 5th comes out. I have yet to catch an episode of the TV series but I think I will wait until its out on DVD so I can start from the beginning.

My favorite characters are Jon Snow and actually the Imp Tyronion (spelling on that one? I dont have my kindle in front of me.) and I actually sometimes skip parts of chapters when Sansa is involved since that side story line later on gets boring in my opinion.

I hope the best for the TV series and reccomend anyone read the books, they are long but read very easily since you get drawn into them in a manner that has been lacking since Tolken.

I'm glad this series is HBO. It seems like they have a good budget into the series and season 2 was picked up. I'm interested to see how the CGI turns out with the dragons. That sneak peek was good but I am curious to see....

You knew eventually though the dragons would make an appearance. They put to much emphasis on those 3 eggs to not have them show up

hopefully they have a next season!

Just started getting into this show. My my, do I love me some Boromir playing lord Stark. Great show, just waiting for invasion and the white walkers to play more into the story. Great great show!

I don't agree with that because the book you get more glimpse into each character so I care about them and then watch the episode and care more haha
