Thanks but this is more about Scientology. I can deal with my brother's situation on my own. Just trying to give more people the perspective of how Scientologists think, that's all. I couldn't tell the wacko shit without telling some of what happened.

That Q&A thread was pretty enlightening, very interesting.

Scientology is not a religion; it is not spiritual. It is a con cooked up by L. Ron Hubbard so he wouldn't have to work. He wrote stories for sci-fi magazines and sci-fi novels of his own. He confirmed it himself -- that Scientology was bloody genius (for him) & that he reaped all the benefits. It is a scam and a fraud. No religion inolved. You might as well call pick-pockets & bankrobbers ministers if you classify Scientology as a religion.

Break the news to Tommy Cruise: he's wasting his fortune trying to become a Jedi master of Scientology. He won't get the mystical Jedi powers which he seeks.... :)

Pretty much. Although "religion" sure leaves the door open for any belief being a religion. However the scam part you are dead on about. I'm still waiting for Cruise to wake up and see the light. He's treated like a god so I don't see it happening any time soon.

isn't or hasn't Will Smith been tied to them as well. I don't really necessarily think it's a matter of waking up for some of them i.e. Cruise. Maybe he's an atheist or agnostic who found this to be a bit of an interesting way to socialize and stay in the limelight while outside the Hollywood limelight. I've seen a video of him speaking at the podium or whatever and he seems like he's having a good time, lol. For guys like him, Travolta, and the like; I imagine it being more of like a secret society/club/frat/business than an actual religion or whatnot.

I will say one of his Granddaughters was a good lay. So he did do something right.

Yep he is or was. How much is unclear. But he opened a school using Scientology study "technology".
That's a really good point actually. But I do believe the guy is indoctrinated in it now and actually believes.

Never really thought of that. It could sure be looked at that way from those who are public Scientologists. Paying members....

You just explained how Scientology isn't a religion by describing it as a religion.

They have money to throw around. And they're treated like royalty. Scientology is very very expensive. To pay for all they have to offer which frankly is what their intention for everyone is, costs upwards of $300,000.00-$500,000.00.

Google Jason Beghe. He explains it pretty well with a lot of swearing. From experience.
