    Where to start (credit card issue)

    I guess there this credit card that is in my name that I didn't know about. There was an annual fee and now late fees for like 4 months. I thought it was all junk mail until I opened it today to find out it was some credit card bill! There was no other charges. How do I get this fixed. I didn't sign up for it and its hurting my credit score. I need the card cancelled but how do I get my credit score fixed?

      I would start by calling the credit card and telling them it was a fraud.
      They will send or fax you the fraud form that you will have to fill out and get back to them, you will not be liable for any charges

          I had a similar incident happen to me.

          I called the credit card company, and got the fee removed. I then called some credit bureau they gave me the number to.

          Talked to them for 30 minutes or so, and they told me the negative reflections on my credit would be removed.

          9 months later they finally did.

                  Good luck with getting them to cancel the charges.

                  Do a free credit check to see if there are any others out there you don't know about.

                                  Nah I dont think it was the wife. There are no charges in the history of the card, just monthly fees. I'm going to call today.
