Downloaded this last night via Steam ($10) after watching some youtube gameplay.

Good game for people who play games for the atmosphere and 'feeling'

Scariest shit ever. I've not long started the game and i'm already shitting my pants. When you start the game the menu say's "Do not play this game to win, try to immerse yourself in the story and the world"

It's been a long time since i've been legit freaked out/stressed by a game (since the first Silent Hill on ps1, same as the reviewer says)
I had to take a break because I started getting headaches from being on edge for such long periods and focussing so hard in the darkness and generally being freaked out lol.

PS1 silent hill was the scariest shit ever and as a result I never play or watch horror movies. Phuck that shit... lol seems like a cool game though

I don't know if it's still going on, but I got it through the Humble Indie Bundle with like 5 other games for however much money you want to donate.

I still havn't finished this, had my comp wiped after a meltdown and never got around to redownloading from steam. Man there were parts (after the original post) where I would have to sit and get my breath back after massive freakouts/blind running in fear. Literally trying to push myself deep into the corner of a room too scared to move for a good 3 minutes after the 'terror' music had died down from a creepy encounter.
Fun fact! There's a new one coming out. Doesn't look as scafry though (super short trailer though..). being outside always makes things 'easier'..the whole thing about the last one having you always surrounded by walls freaked me out.

It was kinda scary at parts. Like running through the flooded hallways.
Short though. And the end was strange. Make sure you read all the "lore" you can find. Also play with the lights off if it's possible.
