    Sebring or the Rolex 24

Thinking of going to an ALMS race next year. Sebring or the Rolex 24 in Florida.

So, which one would you guys go to and what makes one better than the other.

I'd really like to get a pitt pass or at least have a chance to walk to the pits before the race.

Also if anyone knows a crew that needs a volunteer let me know!

I went to sebring when I was about 10. I still have my awesome ass 1998 mint cond t shirt. I also was handed an audi flag by audis pitcrew through the fence after they won there. It was fucking awesome to say the least.

Ive been to both and if your a trooper Id say Daytona. Daytona is always cold... if not cold and rainy! Sebring is awesome but only 12 hours. Better time of season to endure the elements. The pit pass is the only way to go. You are able to walk in and out of the garages and get real close to the action. Bring tons of beer and firewood. Both are a blast to experience!

I've participated in both.... from a crew guy's prospective i had much better times @ sebring. the crowd has their party on and it really helps keep your chin up when things are going to shit.... i have nothing bad to say about daytona... it's great too... but it's different.

If you are married Rolex 24. Sebring happens during srping break and gets so crazy at night. It's really one huge party. Do yourself a favor and stay at the track in an RV. Best way to enjoy it. I have done both and both truly are an amazing expirience.

My buddy at work has an RV, I'm trying to talk him into going so I can use it. He loves the Natty Light (not kidding) so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

If we start traveling at work again I'll be going to Austin for the F1 Race. If we don't start traveling I might just skip lunch between now and then to pay for the trip. JK...but seriously.

I'm not married anymore so maybe Sebring would be cool. Plus its closer to my B-day.

I'm just looking forward to doing things for myself in 2012 that i've put off for years. 2011 will be my getting out of debt year.

Super jealous if you go. A member on my Peugeot forum went, brought his old Peugeot into the pits next to their le mans car, and got hella swag & pictures with the team.
