I hope she is okay, a co-worker was recently hit at a red light and now is in pain due to problems with spine and a couple dislocated discs! Make 100% sure she is fine.

Agreed. Don't (she shouldn't) sign anything for a while to see what injuries show up. The body does not respond immediately to some injuries.

Unfortunately most in this country don't take driving as seriously as they should. You're essentially piloting a 3k+ pound lethal weapon.
This. I knew cars were dangerous and I've always had a firm grasp of physics, but it didn't really dawn on me until I read that "For the average American, a vehicle is the most destructive and lethal possession they have access to".

And then to be stupid about such a thing when people are hyper safety minded about other things...

The Taurus is totaled, the car impacted drivers door at 30mph. My mom was sitting there, how in the world is she okay? I'm seriously in awe... I could never imagine anyone surviving a t bone at 30mph.... Seriously a miracle.

Thanks for the support r3v. Very appreciated and my family is very fortunate for my mom to be okay.
I'm glad she is OK. I was T-boned 3 years ago by a driver who ran a red light, she was doing around 35. We were both driving Jeep Cherokees, and both of them were totaled. She hit the driver side door, I ended up in the middle of my car with my seat after doing a 180 on the road. I only had a slight shoulder pain thank _____ , I would've died in my E30 for sure. Since then I make sure nobody is approaching the intersection with higher speeds before I cross, even when there is a green light that's supposed to guarantee me safe passage.

Everybody should be careful out there, doesn't matter how good of a driver you are, your life is constantly in danger as long as there are other drivers around... And seriously, get off your phones.

Glad she's alright. I'm still seeing the pain/effects of this shit that happened in may, and its nothing like getting t-boned straight at the door.

:( the alfa all smashed makes me sad.

and too everyone else i haven't heard a thing but from what i understand all party's involved in the accident there was no injuries so the baby is fine.

and conki is right, just because the lights green doesn't always mean its a go. i also look left and right before crossing intersections, even if they aren't newly green.
