iphone 3gs experts.. just swapped LCD & Digitizer

And now my lower loud speaker won't work. Dock connector is fine, so is mic. Phone just won't ring/play music/etc.
I've tried cleaning the headphone port and it seems to recognize when they are plugged in (adjusts volume).
The speaker worked post dropping the phone, but not after replacing the screen components. Any idea what to check or what could've happened?

    Thanks!
    Julien

Tony B Chiu might be able to help. I'll ask him for you.

There is a member that was opening an iPhone repair shop, maybe search for his thread and ask him?

            no dice.
I did run the iphone with the lcd/etc unplugged for a bit (in my car).. could this have corrupted anything in the phone? I did a restore/software update on the phone already though.

              Yeah that's me.

#4 is the only connector that the sound goes through, #1 is for your antenna, either it's not plugged in or it's damaged. I would try swapping out the whole dock connector assembly (it's like $5 or so), If that doesn't work you have issues with your board. This is assuming the phone does not think headphones are plugged in all the time.

Yeah I also think something happened with the dock connector assembly. Phone correctly recognizes when head phones are plugged in/etc.
