Home, waiting for Irene...decided to finish my Lego truck

About two weeks ago my buddy told me that Lego would be releasing their largest Technic's set ever made. I was pleased to find out that it was a Unimog!! The inner kid in me didn't take no for an answer so I acquired one.

I took pics of the build process...figured you guys would enjoy.

LOL, yes I know that the emblem was flipped. I rotated it after I uploaded the pic 2 weeks ago.

Loaded up some tires from my older sets... pretty cool how they fit four across EXACTLY.

Here's an older set that I posted a while ago in case you feel like seeing more:

you accomplished more with that lego than half of r3v ever did with their e30.

Nice build. however i dont like the modern Unimog styling, I like the 1990 and older ones myself.

haha yeh, i used to build a new car everyday. these technic cars definitely require instructions though.

Thanks man. I too am a big fan of the older generation however, they've still stayed within the design spec much like the G series.

Nice job on that build! I worked on finishing up my interior for as long as I could today til the first bands of rain hit. Hoping Cecilia survives any tidal surges!

Nice. Just trying to pass the time with something really... I've already pretty much elevated the valuable stuff. Now its just a waiting game. I don't think it'll be too bad here but you never know.

Not sure if it is more pieces then your Unimog, but I'm fairly certain it is bigger.

Cool. How I miss those days of sitting in room playing with Legos all day... Now I want to try and find all my old sets and try to see if I can build an e30 model.
