    Another Math Poll

So I was talking to a friend of mine who is a Bio major and we got into a debate about rounding and significant digits.

Here's the question. I have already changed my concept of rounding because I believe I've been doing it wrong but I'm not 100% sure. I'd like to see what r3v thinks.

    Does 1.449 round to 1.5 or 1.4?

    1.5

Rounding can go against one another very fast lol. Normally you round to the NEAREST ten. But if the last number is 5 or more you round to the next even ten.

Given that you are rounding to the tenth in your poll, I looked to the hundredth place, saw a 4, and rounded down.

just go to the gym for a while, and then write you're answer on either fist, then beat it into there nerdy faces, they'll understand after that.

If you're rounding to the tenth, then it's 1.4

49 is closer to 0 than it is to 100

            Pretty simple.

Yeah, this shouldn't be a great debate.

If we were rounding to hole numbers I think it'd be 0. that or -1.

It really depends on how many significant digits you're looking for.

Depends on how deep the hole is.
Oh, and there's a fucking elephant in the way, so who cares?

But, if you simply MUST further round the number.
                              1.4....
