Just sayin.. A shop CAN give you the money... It can also take away all that money, plus a lot more.

But, No matter what happens. Congrats.

Thats funny 100k not close enough to start a shop.I would have to disagree and say you have plenty to start up a shop, well if you are smart anyways.Just dont do it like most sheeple and you will be all set.

Put half of the cash away and use the rest for a down payment on a house.

Buying a new car like the vette is silly, if he wants to spend some of his new found money on a vette go after a classic that won't depreciate. May even appreciate slowly.

Yea, get that 'Vette, & watch it depreciate 40% right when you drive it off the showroom floor.. Buy a house, bro..
This reminds me of the "My Name is Earl" episode, where Earl hits the scratch-off, for $100k, then walks out of the gas station, and is promptly hit by a car! Then, you see the winning ticket floating off into the wind..

                Land. Invest in land.

Buy a house, and use the rest to buy some foreclosed farm land on the outskirts of a growing medium/small sized city. Wait a few years and sell the land for $1million an acre to some high end developing company to put a Target/Best Buy/Costco on.

Congrats, i believe you. Does that mean im in the list for the free $50? Hahaha but seriously use thr money clever. Me personaly i would start a business, invest in land or buy a house. It all depends on your age and what you like.

That awesome! congrats! Dont waste the money, put aside at least $50k in a CD, do research and make a solid investment, set up a college fund for someone, or just put it in a bag under the floor boards. You never know when you might need it. Someone could get sick, laid off, etc....

Best thing you can do, accept that you're NOT a finance expert and seek advise. That's a lot of money, but it also isn't in some ways. Investng that kind of money over long term could yield quite large returns. Talk to someone who makes it their job to give financial counseling to those with large bank accounts, you'll regret it in the future if you do not.
