Yeah, wtf. I was paying 2.919 or something for the last tank of gas, and I went out just tonight cause I forgot to get gas last night and was practically on fumes driving home from work and it was 3.19!! :shock: :shock: :shock: Yeah, twist my arm! oW ow ow!!

Yesterday I brought my friend to pick his car up at Meineke, and across the street is one of the cheapest gas stations around. I was on empty so I shot across to fill up. I nearly crashed when I saw that the price was $3.06! I told him I was heading down the street to another place.
I get there, and the big sign says "0" - with two guys standing under it with numbers. I'm like...fuck, they're going up too... so I scream into the station and pull up to a pump. The tag still says 2.80 for 87 (in my honda now), and the computer display says it too. I grab the thing and start pumping.
41 freakin dollars later, I'm full at 2.80 a gallon. As soon as I hang up the handle, they come by my pump and change it to $3.05.
Just beat the clock on that one - looks like I'll be walking to save gas this week ;)Comment

You guys got it easy. I drove back to college last week in upstate NY and gas was at 2.59 a gallon. Now, 8 days later, its 3.59 a gallon, for fucking regular! It was 3.09 yesterday, 2.71 the day before. Gas went up a full dollar in one week. Premium is already at 3.99 and I bet it goes up even more tomorrow.
Im going to sit on my half tank of gas till the middle of October, when I drive home, thats for sure. I might not even go home and wait till Thanksgiving. Itll cost me over a hundred bucks to get home and back, and thats getting 27 mpg on the highway.Back to my roots

Prices jumped at least another 30cents per gallon depending on the gas station. Gulf and Sunoco are around $3.39 just for 87, but places like Hess are still at about $2.69 for 87. YikesComment
