Anyone here who cannot appreciate the beauty of the classic 900 SPG can suck my dick because obviously you haven't driven or owned one.

Ya dude honestly, in my opinion saab owners are a little more extreme than say your average volvo owners. Their niche is way deeper. That's one thing I love about them - how so many people hate them.

A 60's saab is way ahead of its time styling wise.

The original engineers were geniuses. Dont forget that

I've always loved Saabs, the only car ever that can pull off a 3 spoke wheel.

My father is actually a saab mechanic. The classic models are awesome cars. In my opinion GM screwed the name up. I do however own a 1995 900 as my daily driver, its pretty garbage to drive but its cheap as hell to run and its pretty damn reliable.

Don't know why there's so much animosity toward Saabs unless it's based exclusively on GM-era cars. Saabs were actually pretty cool from about the early '70s through the early '90s, peaking with the first-generation 900 Turbo shown above. The second-gen 900 was just OK (particularly the Viggin model) but everything that followed was devoid of character.

I remember reading an issue of Road & Track or maybe Car & Driver when I was a kid that did a sports sedan shootout. As I recall, they ranked the Saab 99 EMS at the top of the list, just above the BMW 320iS. How times have changed ...

My buddy drives a 1967 95. WIth the V4 and a 4 on the tree "racing transmissions"

Saab 99's are okay quality wise, and the styling is excellent IMO
