The thing is you can't say BET is for black people and the rest of the channels are for white people. 1) That's as racist as any other racist comment because it would mean all black people are interested in is R&B, rap music, and the things they sing about in those songs. 2) BET is a black orientated channel whereas you can't say there is any single channel out there that is blatantly geared towards only white European descendants.

But if people weren't watching those shows, MTV wouldn't run them.

It's true MTV sucks, hell most of the channels on television suck.

If it wasn't for the shows I watch on the few good networks, which I can count on one hand I wouldn't even have cable. Still considering cancelling even though I have 3 TVs, and only use 1.

AMC (Mad Men, Walking Dead)
FX (SofA, Rescue Me is now gone, Archer, Louis CK)
SPEED (I'm liking the car show.)

Other stuff like Daily Show, Conan, Family Guy, HGTV, Planet Green, Discovery I watch on occasion.

Been catching up on HBO, Showtime, etc shows on netflix. Probably going to just continue watching premium shiz when it's available via Netflix.

Just recently moved and didn't even bother with cable service. I don't want to watch 95% of the crap on TV. Give me Top Gear (online/netflix), Modern Marvels and SOA. All of which I can watch without cable.
