The UARS Satellite Will Hit Earth Sometime Around September 24, 2011
Should be later tonight or tomorrow.

Kinda cool...The web site that you can track it live are all overloaded.

    Here's one link: http://www.n2yo.com/?s=21701

I'm trying to watch it on ustream. EDIT: I'll try to find a better link.

What goes up, must come down right?

Wonder if anyone will be affected by this. Doubt it.

They are estimating that the larger chunks(I think about 7 different parts) will make it to earth.

As of 7 p.m. EDT on Sept. 23, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 90 miles by 95 miles (145 km by 150 km). Re-entry is expected between 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, and 3 a.m., Sept. 24, Eastern Daylight Time (3 a.m. to 7 a.m. GMT). During that time period, the satellite will be passing over Canada, Africa and Australia, as well as vast areas of the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans. The risk to public safety is very remote.

saw a show last night on German TV, it had an early 80 Chevy Malibu on it that was hit by a meteor in the trunk, and is now worth 100,000 dollars-- so, I would hope that hunk of crap would smash one of the E30s in my driveway!!! here's a link!
