    Model airplanes

I'm thinking about getting some model planes to build/paint.

    1:48 or 1:72

Post up what you've built ;)

I used to build planes a lot when I was younger. Even got a decent air brush setup and looking at them now, they came out pretty good. Knowing how to do some basic weathering can make them look pretty realistic. Don't have any pics though..

I used to make models when I was a teen. 1:48 is a better size. 1:72 is too small and the models have less detail.

best model company by far.... http://www.revell.com/

I need something small (12" ish). I'm making a "bookshelf" that will hold model planes/motorcycles/cars.

I'll sketch out my plans on the bookshelf, hang on.

Here's my sketch, haa. (I will probably make it a little longer, just for fun)

The dark blue lines are where I will have a model placed.
