    Garrett Edward Berki.

Not sure if anyone had followed up on my story about what happened to one of my best friends, but about 4 months ago he was trying to buy a computer off of craigslist and he found a good deal on a macbook pro. He went to go pick it up one night when he was setup by a few teenagers, he was robbed and he tried to follow them to get the license plate number. They met in a culdasac and one of the teenagers shot through the window hitting Garrett in the chest, killing him. His girlfriend was right next to him, one of the toughest things that I have gone through in my life.

On a good note, it taught all of us a great lesson in life. He had many close friends and it's hard to see someone so young being taken away. I went to visit his head stone yesterday for his 19th birthday and they engraved one of the most badass engravings that I have ever seen on a head stone. Check this out.

He had a huge passion for cars, he worked on his car almost every day and went through some struggles in his life... but he cleaned up big time and took care of a nice 5 series that he had. He lowered it, did a few simple mods like clear corners and things like that. He helped me work on my e30 all the time, he had a beautiful house in Mission Beach right on the water and lived life to the fullest. Really going to miss him a lot.

The court date is coming up to see what the kids get for killing him, everybody is anxious to hear the news. Here's my original thread and some other information on the story.

Funeral services for Garrett Berki are scheduled for Wednesday at El Camino Memorial Sorrento Valley Chapel. Berki, a Mission Valley resident and 2010 La Jolla High School graduate, died May 11 at Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest. He was 18. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's office ruled Sunday that Berki died of a...

"“Any time I needed someone to help me with my car, Garrett was the person to go to,” said the victim’s friend Spencer Berke. “He was always into cars and he showed that passion a lot and so that’s why we were such good friends. We both loved cars.”

That is really rough man

Keep his memory alive, and let it be something that helps you remember what is important in life.

That sucks man. I had a good friend take his life back in high school, it was a odd time for me as I never really felt like he had died. It was more like he had just gone away for a while, as time went by it did get harder for a bit. But I came to terms with it and that is history now.

I hope your justice system is better then what we have here for minors, they get away with anything these days it is very sad and depressing. They always have this bullshit comment that they are young and will have to live with this for the rest of there lives.

Well what about the victoms who have to live with the fact that no justice was not delievered. IDK here in Australia you are better off being the criminal then the victom. Hope the kids rott in hell. Good Luck.
