thats a old vid, ill try to get one on the way to work later tonight. Well i only fixed fuel pump :D Anyways yours should be faster than a basically stock m20 like mine (vert). I have a blast all day everyday with my car. I wouldn't mind a extra 50-70 whp to smash around with. You need to remember your not driving a "race car" and that car is older than you... a 325i will still give most cars on the street a fun run. You said you would post vids the other day..... I think we are all still waiting. . . . . . -
Although the wrx/sti is an amazing car, its not as much fun as an E30. I bought a WRX last year, souped the poop out of it, have a total of $12k including car price and can do 0-60 in 4.5sec w/ 300hp and 340+ftlbs of torque, It is a lot more numb feeling that an E30. So I've started turboeing the E30. If I would of put 12k into an E30 it would be scary, it might not be fast to 60 because I would just get wheelspin but it would still be funner.Leave a comment:

Exactly, until you take into account the moderness of a new car. OP will be complaining about his old BMW for the rest of existance. I am just saying that I am sick of listening to kids complain their M20s don't cut the mustard. No shit kid, the motor is 20+ years old. Go buy a new car so we don't have to deal. Not to mention, a built STI while expensive is still balls out fast and fun. Let the teenagers drive those. Leave the e30s to guys like us.I just came from the subaru world, and have to say sorry...but no. For the cost of a reasonable condition used sti you could have a monster of an e30 that will blow the doors off and sti, it's as simply as an s52 transplant to keep up with one at that. I was rolling around in a 320whp twinscroll scooby, was fun but I don't regret moving on from them one bit. Those motors love to die, head over to nasioc and see how many mildly worked sti's are being sold with low mileage but rebuilt motors.
n/a>turbo for fun to drive factor all day long imo.Leave a comment:

so what would you say to m30 swaps? Bridge me the connection with the s50b32 = pointless. It looks way more period correct, has desired amount of ponies and can be done for cheaper than an s54 even after import fees.Leave a comment:

It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. Ask any Vette-beating Miata driver on the track.
Also, been to Palomar lately?Leave a comment:

Are you serious? an s54 more economical? You must be joking.Leave a comment:

s50b32 is pointless old history. S54 is more economical if you intend on driving the car for more than just a few events (and you live in USA)
my own personal s54 build thread in my sig. other s54 oem dme option @ bimmerworld website-Leave a comment:

just boost it already... its not that hard and you have coin in the engine already.Leave a comment:

Oh wait, this is the thread we discussed at lunch today isn't it? Mark, I understand why R3V is annoying you now.OMG!! My 20 year old BMW 325 doesn't feel as fast as a modern BMW 335!!
OMG!! My 20 year old Vette doesn't feel as fast a modern vette!!
OMG!! My 20 year old Porsche 911 doesn't feel as fast as a modern 911!!
Should I sell my old car? Should I start a thread about it?
I think I should....Leave a comment:

You drive a 20+ year old bmw. If you want to go fast like your friends, buy an STI. Otherwise, love your e30 and get over yourself. If you bought that car for speed you fucked up.Leave a comment:

I don't like you on r3v. You're probably a cool guy, though
You act surprised when we act like we don't care about your life as much as you do...Leave a comment:

Yeah mine is faster, I will make the videos tomorrow. I've just been busy as hell all week, trying to piece together some info on my clutch and shifter parts.where is video ?? only takes a cruz around the block or two. Nothing fancy just a few pulls.
heres mine. stock over bore rebuilt m20b25 , chipped 153 dme, spin-tech muffler and a dying fuelpump. Filmed with my shitty phone.
edit: car is a vert with a trunk load of tools and one missing exhaust manifold stud ( lolz )
S54 is out of my price range, (no offense taken) whoever posted that. But I want to in the future once I move up a little in the company. I guess I'm just really used to faster cars, but the more I rip corners the happier I get.
And I'm not sure why it's such a big deal that I post threads like this? Seems like some of you get so worked up at my threads as if you hate me, I'm just posting up to get some thoughts from other people.
Yeah, I am young and I have A LOT to learn about these cars... but I'm slowly getting there, and the only way I can learn is to put myself out there on the forums and with my friends. So what if I don't know an answer to something, at least I have a passion to learn it. /rant
