Legal to mount an out of service LMG to the side on an e30?

crazy question, but a friend of mine who does the random going around and buying old shit to resell has come across an old WWII german LMG MG-34
Nazi stamped, kind of rusty, black and whatever for really cheap (75 bucks)

Im thinking about buying it and mounting it on my passenger side, right to the side of the fender/hood gap....

big question is, would this be legal in texas as a vehicle ornament?


edit - this is basically it, but more rust, and not 1,000 beans
and removed grip, trigger, tripod and strap

Id def cover up the ninja star, but having an iconic german light machine gun semi flush mounted to the side of an e30 would be pretty damn cool

I agree. It will garner you unwanted attention for sure. I'll give you $100 for it though, just to add it to my collection and provide a FFL licence to ship it to.

dunno the details, my buddy picked it up in northern missouri earlier today at a trade fair. He called me and said it'd be pretty funny to mount it to the car.

i think it'd be a cool gimicky car show thing, maybe if i could weld on some removable mounts or something.
