R.I.P Marco Simoncelli. Fatal accident in sepang moto GP

Fatal injuries suffered from a horrifying crash at Sepang Moto GP today, and only a week after the death of Dan Wheldon.

Was a great character and a true racer, RIP and condolences to family and friends. A sad week in Motor sport.

Video and images make me sick. one of the worst crash's I've seen in moto gp.

and my thoughts go out to Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi. I cant imagine what they are feeling.

Undoubtedly the "new fan favorite" behind Rossi, including mine. I opened the torrent last night, saw the length, and knew something bad happened. :(

I was planning on buying a replica helmet of his this winter, for track days and long rides, this only cements that decision.

wow, this is fucking terrible. I honestly feel like shit just thinking about how Rossi/Edwards must be feeling right now :(

Rossi and Marco were good friends, and to have hit him must be excruciatingly painful (nothing that could have been prevented).

The footage is terrible, wish I hadn't seen it :(

Judging by the video it was a broken back or neck? Taking bikes to these tracks definitely makes things a whole lot safer for the riders, just compare the crashes at these races to things like the IOM TT and you'll see. Still a terrible way to go :(

Definitely had what it takes to be a champion. Damn shame as he made this season pretty exciting. RIP man, happened to early in your career.

And poor Rossi, this is the last thing he needs.

As soon as it happened you could tell everyone was bracing for the worst, that feeling was cemented when they cancelled the race.

Brutal crash, and tragic that one of his best mates (Rossi) was involved. He was definitely was a future champ no doubt about it. MotoGP, and the racing world lost a great rider and personality.

                        R.I.P SuperSic :(

The way the helmet was ripped off and tossed down the track was a pretty good sign he was in serious trouble. RIP.

Didn't believe it when I heard, really enjoyed watching him race the 250's and the big bikes. Horrible wreck and sad to see Edwards and Rossi involved. Sad month in motorsports :(
