Walmart spring water, 88 cents a gallon and it actually tastes pretty good, you should try it.

I live one hour from Voss. The water in the Voss bottles actually comes from the other side of the country, and it is in fact tap water.

                The bottles are cool though!

Really? It does taste pretty good. We started selling it a few months ago at my job. Very pricey water. I think $3.00 for one Liter , cool bottle too.

It actually costs twice that over here. But yes, it is tap water. Good tap water, but tap water ;)

If I was going to buy bottled water there are two I like Poland Springs of Maine and Gerolsteiner both are good stuff. I have a Brita inline filter for the house though. I added it this year during the remodel.

I use a brita bottle but only because I travel and usually am getting water from god knows what. I know the source is safe but when its warm often you can get a metallic taste if the delivery system is old.

Otherwise I think bottled water is a sham, you are paying for a plastic bottle (that you then throw away and fuck our planet) and marketing to get some distilled tap water.

The only exception is I use Fiji in my scotch. The high concentration of silica gives the scotch a different mouth feel, almost slippery. The PH of it also seems to kill most astringency that can be present in cask strength ones.

I was in NYC when they discovered that the tap water has these little microscopic live crustaceans in it. They were too small for the large scale filtration system. Not dangerous though, just really pissed of the jews. They were buying Brita filters en masse as those could filter the little buggers out.

It was hilarious, every store and bodega had either "brita sold here" or hand written "out of brita filters" sign on it.

I just had LeBleu put a dispenser in my house (the office-style ones with 5 gal bottles) and I think its great water

As for fizzy water, I like SanPelligrino better than Perrier, but the best is Glersteiner (cuz its German yo). Try it.

BUT I think I want to buy a SodaStream. Really.
