    Sleds, Snowmobiles etc

I am about to buy a '71 Skidoo Olympic model. Anyone on here into rebuilding older sleds to take a bigger motor and modern suspension?

Friend of mine knows a guy that belongs to his sled chapter that does that. Just wondering if anyone on here does =) But other sled talk and stuff is welcome as this will be my first!

So yeah, this will be my new get around toy for the NY winter lol.

P.S. To anyone that wants to mention buying newer is better/I am too poor to afford better etc can take a hike! I can afford a newer one no problem FYI. Newer ones just don't have the amazing look that these ones do.

      Uggggggggg...

My parents both used to work for Bombardier. I got treated to some really nice stuff while they were there.

Ever seen a '65 olympique with an MXZ 800cc engine in it?
More fun than should be legally allowed. That's how much fun.

Those single ski elan's are really fun with the 440 in it too.

It has the 440 in it and another one that is a 1970 has a 355 or something. But yeah, that is my plan...BIGGER motor and updated suspension to handle going faster. I am insanely excited for snow now...I used to HATE IT! Only thing it did was make me garage my e30 =(

FYI, that picture is one of the ones I am planning on buying. Single owner and waxed/stored in a garage for its life. Runs and is 100% complete for 500.00!

500 bucks is nothing for that old bird. I'd be doing the exact same thing.

Yup, all I have been looking for is a super clean base to work off of. Clean paint and working everything. That is a must on my list, then I will just swap motors and do the suspension. I want it to LOOK vintage, BUT keep up with my buddy's brand new Skidoo.
