How the hell do you get a 4.3 in high school? By not weighting the higher classes?

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

One doesn't need to be smart to do well in school, it's all just about putting in the work

True.. Just wish I got my act together earlier in school. Instead I gotta haul ass just to catch up from all my fuck ups. Better late than never, I guess.
edit: oh yeah.. Finished my last final today! After christmas weekend, lots of e30 work will go down! Best way to spend break. Haven't legitimately worked on the car since end of summer when I barely finished up the swap.Last edited by cmybimmer; 12-21-2011, 12:03 AM.

Probably should have done it anyway, buddy who did it ended up graduating engineering in four years with three bachelors and a masters because of how many credits he came in with.

Whewww, nearly two quarters since the last posts.
Got a light course load this quarter, before summer:
-Calculus (4 units)
-History/Writing Core Class (Not difficult, just very tedious) (6 units)
-Persian Language(4 units)
-Religion Seminar (1 unit)
How are classes for you this quarter/semester?
[yes this is me procrasinating my calc lol]

When it comes down to it, the grades dont matter. Id rather get grades that are just enough to pass, but still knowing i got a lot out of the class, rather than a class being so easy that i would have to try hard to not get an A.
A lot of money goes into school, so get the most out of those classes.
This sounds crazy, but I take core class with instructors that students claim to be "difficult" (which usually, in most cases here at my local community college, means the student is just lazy and blames it on the instructor) cause usually you learn a lot since they are willing to challenge you more often.
I took a difficult instructor for English 1 and got so much out of it. I went from feeling like a poor writer, to feeling i can go above and beyond with my writing now. I didnt come out with a fantastic grade, but the knowledge I gained is much more valuable.
Jobs dont look at your grades. They look at what you graduated with and thats it. Experience will certainly outweigh anything now days since it proves to can perform a certain job or task (In most cases).
EDIT: Sorry for being off topic, just thought id make a point
I have poor studying habits. At least i dont blame it on the instructors like other people here do. But the most i do is just read chapters from the book and go over old homeworks or quizzes. Works for some classes............SOME classes.............. -____________________________-I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

I just get my shit done, when it needs doing. My overall GPA is ~3.35 and my major GPA is a 3.95. After high school i went to Denison University, a school that I had no business getting into according to thier admissions requirements/the high school achievements of my classmates (primarily valedictorians with 4.0s, 1400 SATs/ 32 ACTs or higher). I have since transferred to KU for to attend Business school/save $$.
I had a 3.1 high school GPA and 24ACT...When i got to college, I didn't become smarter, I just applied myself and did what needed to be done. If you are struggling, just surround yourself with peers who are doing well, and you will be intrinsically motivated to succeed. Last week I had a paper due and 3 tests all on the same day. I went 35 hours without sleep and went on an academic bender. I rocked em all.
If you focus, know what you need to get done, and establish a sense of accomplishment/achievement you will do well. Simple as that. If you've made it to college, you're not dumb. If you do poorly you are lazy.
