Vietnam in HD on History channel

Ive watched a few. The HD is a joke (since its not like the war was shot in HD) but the content is great. I much prefer these perspectives that have risen popularity since Band of Brothers, telling the story from the eyes of individuals instead making it clinical or purely propaganda film.

This, none of it is actually in "HD" (I swear, I've grown to hate that term, being in the AV/cable industry). But it's incredible, nonetheless.

the last part about the VietCong having bounties on the dogs as well as the handlers is very true as the guy that I talked had a nifty bounty on him. crazy.

Alot of people were being very negative about the soldiers when they were coming home. I know it was a different time and place in history but that was completely wrong. It really makes me MORE proud than ever about my dad serving in the armed forces especially today after watching that series and seeing how the vets were treated.

They say History repeats itself, and that we make the same mistakes over and over, but I gotta say that I'm glad America treats it's troops much differently this time around.
