thats why i answer my door with a .38 special in hand, never know when stuff like this is going to go down. Cop banged on the door the other night (really hard and wouldn't stop beating on it) on a reported noise complaint (i had nothing on that made noise), answered the door with the pistol at the ready... nearly scared him to death
