I used to play a lot. Started out on a Yamaha acoustic, still have it. It sounds really good, and wasnt expensive. I went through 3 teachers, 1 just played bluegrass while I watched, another just taught me riffs from popular songs, the last actually tried to teach me fundamentals, then he quit/moved or something

By that time i was bored with it.

I'm looking into teaching myself how to play the guitar and was wondering how many of you here play. Were you taught by a teacher, or did you learn by yourself. I'm going to try and teach myself but I'm lacking one thing... the guitar. Could anyone recommend a good acoustic guitar to buy for a beginner. I don't want a shitty one, and I'm not looking to spend $5K either. Thanks.
