When I was in Junior high, my dad and I went to the mountains for a weekend for skiing, and on the way back really late at night, that was some scary shit.

Another one going from Blacksburg back home to Chesapeake, I had to drive back for surgery on my fractured hand but I had a test that day from 7 to 9 pm. By the time I got in the area it was about 1am. I drifted asleep, ended up in the grassy median going about 20 mph. Luckily I hit nothing, I did the whole tweak and wake up hard motion.

I drove home going 45 mph with my eyes wide open as if I've been shot with 1000 mg of caffeine.
Haha! I missed the exit from 81 to 43 to get to Lynchburg once. Ended up on 460 in Roanoke and had to back track through Bedford, etc. This was on the 1st "date" with my current gf, where I was fixing the ignition in her bf at the time's Audi. She promptly dumped him and rolled with me the next weekend. BAM.

My friend got lost coming back from a Steelers game in Pittsburgh. We all noticed he wasn't at school Monday morning. He rolled in Tuesday and told the story. He'd missed an exit in PA and rolled over into western Ohio. His dad was with him, but asleep (this was when we were 17). He just kept going, and they had to get a hotel for the night in Ohio.

I never remember the drive into work. Ever.

I fell asleep once for about 10 miles on I81. Straight stretch, knocked out about 9pm coming home from Pa. I roughly know the distance because I remembered the last exit I passed had a chick fil a and I was pissed they were closed in Sundays.

I flipped the fuck out and was wide awake the rest of my trip.

Since everyones sharing their lil story...

Personally I've never driven anywhere far but when my dad had a house in Ohio, he would drive there from NY and back like nothing. He usually drinks sugar free redbull and keeps the car very cold. Anyway one time we about half hour away from our destination (in Ohio) and it's about 3 in the morning.

I'm half asleep and my brother is just in the back knocked out. I feel the rumble strip and I quickly wake up and my see my dad dozing off for a quick second. I got sooooo fucking scared, needless to say I was wide awake for the rest of the trip. I was afraid he was going to do it again and hit a deer or something.

I spent last christmas with my GF's family, who live in an extremely rural community where there is a 45 minute drive to go anywhere of importance.

After a nice lunch we were on the way back to her parents' place in her dad's truck on one of the back roads near their home. She was driving, doing ~100kph on a long straight stretch when we start to drift across into the oncoming lane. I look over, assuming she was on her phone, to see her passed right out leaning on the driver side window. I panic and yell her name, she wakes up and jerks the wheel to the right and then the left, causing us to fishtail and then spin around ~220 degrees to the left on the shoulder of the road.

I'd never been so sure I was going to die in my life, haha

Also, two years ago, my uncle wrecked his old subaru legacy when his sleeping self decided to jump it off an offramp and roll it a few times.

Scary, when you wonder...Hey I don't remember going over the bridge.

its been proven to be worse then drunk driving.

It is worse, like something close to 10 times worse. I have had nights where i dont remember the drive at all, remember getting in the car and then im in my bed?!? all bad.
