In my opinion it's not acceptable, if they are an ex, you need to put the want to slide yo penis inside of said dame to bed. No pun intended.

Even if you're a suave drunk dialer/texter and get somewhere with the attempt your drunk self is holding onto an emotion/feeling that simply shouldn't be there, don't go backwards, go forwards. Alcohol sometimes makes people too honest with their "right now" feelings. Everyone makes mistakes, but don't be that guy. The guy who is focusing on the past. I'd bet most guys have held onto something even after it's gone, don't be in that zone for a second longer than you need to. Resist the urge to text, but that urge wouldn't be there if you focused on the now and were set to go get more interesting tail that is surely just a conversation away.
