    Winter Road Trip Ideas?

I am in North Cali and am thinking of doing a road trip with my best friend somewhere. We have about 4-6 days and want to probably go East, but we also dont want to run into Snow. We were thinking Vegas but NAH... too typical. So best idea I could come up with was somewhere cool in New Mex or Texas like Austin.

Any input of a good place to visit in that time period and possibly party a little?

      Don't avoid the snow...embrace it!

Rent a condo or something and ski/snowboard every day...just do it.

I have nothing against the snow - its just that we will be going in my friends 2009 Sentra for gas saving purposes and dont want to deal with chains etc. thats all.

I laughed Pointed to the 4x4 switch and the brought his attention to the MI plates on the truck and my northern DL LOL

Lol I know born and raised in Mi lived there for 27 years from the south end of "Mid Mi" . You would shit to see the snow we get where I live now LOL you should see what happens when there is an inch or 2 that lands in the valley down there in Tucson. Coffee and a lawn chair off to the side of a main intersection = hours of entertainment

Been there done that, no thanks haha. If it's anything like watching Ohioans try to navigate the snow, it's quite a show lol.

yeah - Ive been in cali all my life and have limited understanding for snowy roads. It would be nice to be experienced on snow, but I am not trying to be stupid and risk my life on my friend's 2009 Nissan Sentra. Regardless, a lot of accidents happen on snow even if you're experienced; you can't control the other driver who slipped into your lane. We're taking the Sentra for the mileage since my OBD1 S52 E30 is not gonna be smart with gas or (worse) if we hit snow. Thats all.

                            Wait wait wait..
People actually seriously use chains on their cars still???

                            That's just... idiotic.
