    San Diego

I was going to plan a 3 day weekend in January for thelady friend and I. Were in Oregon, translation, cold as hell. Any recommendations for things to do/places to see in downtown? Places to avoid is always welcome!

    Thanks R3v

          Were both 21 and over.
This was more of a surprise for her. We've never been to SD.

Balboa Park is sort of a must...esp., with a lady friend.

If you guys are into beer, you HAVE to go to the smattering of microbreweries in the area. Stone is a little far, but it's beautiful. Popular tourist spot.
My favorite brewery is alesmith, which is more central.

The beach...white people love the beach. The Cove in La Jolla is a good bet. You got tidepools (go at low tide...around 3-4? you can look it up), and seals that chill at the children's pool.

              that's all for now.

Check out La Jolla Cove, it's right down the street from my dorm.
Much nicer than the rest of the suburbia shit they call La Jolla/UTC

Go the Ballast Point brewery near point loma as well. Might as well check out most of coronado! Downtown, well... just walk around. The gaslamp is small enough for everything to be in walking distance. um.... I'd suggest keeping your travels just between the 5 and the 15 for most of your shit.

yeah, but that's not something that can't be had somewhere else. we're trying to find him experiences that are unique to SD

and yes, coronado is a good call
