German numberplates

Why do some people in the US or Canada use german numberplates, atleast for on photos?
Is it trendily these days?
Just wondering. :D

Also, do you ship them from Germany, or are they available to buy oversea?

Are you new? People have been doing this forever. It looks cool on the right car. I hate when I see cars with a euro plate under a regular US plate. It looks tacky.

It only is acceptable in my opinion if your car was a European-Delivery vehicle, like mine!
In fact, every single car that I have ever owned in my life has been a European Delivery vehicle (Volvo, Peugeot, and BMW).

Another weird fact: every single car that I've owned has been formerly owned by my family members
