    Need help in 2012

Hai... I'm a toss pot and snapped the key of the touring in the drivers door last night, we now have two public holidays and my car is in a random street quite a way from home. And yes I am sooooo much of a fuckwit that I dont have a spare key. Suggestions please? (that don't involve being ass raped if at all possible)

try and use a strong magnet to pull the key out of the lock? Lube it up with some wd40 or pam cooking spray first.
    or try this
Don't fear the wait times and locksmith costs if your key snaps off into a lock.

I broke a key off in my 2002 when I was in college. Probobly saved me from making the dumbest mistake in my entire life! I was drunk.....
Had to go out the next day and pay some sneaky Russian ass hat who quoted me one price and then tried to charge me a much hire price when he was done. A few hundred more infact. Then when I refused to pay he called his friend over. It got worked out in the end.
Hope you have good luck with this.

Pull windshield and proceed to unlock vehicle...then walk your 'toss pot'-ass to the junkyard and remove a full lockset from another e30. Ass rape is fully optional in this scenario.

hahaha.. well fuck you! yeah its not looking good. Fucking key seems to be broken right in the lock, no amount of tweezering, or pliers is helping. FML my touring is subject to all elements of bogan aussies... so she's fucked. I know she wont last long in a new estate full of HSVs and Falcons... very vuulnerable!

PS. My tosspot ass is around 2000 k's from any wrecker that would even know what an e30 was, so no love there either

Did you read the write up I posted or try the strong magnet? Make sure the lock is turned back to the neutral position before you try and pull the key out other wise the tumblers in the lock will not let the key come out even if you can get a good grip on it. Other wise get a slim jim. Or get a lock smith to come out and use his slim jim to open the lock.
Plus, how to tell if a slim jim will work with your make and modelYou don't know how it happened, but you're stuck staring at your locked car door, keys nowhere to be found. This can be a costly mistake, especially if you need to call a...

Yeah mate, was just about to reply to your first post, I have to get back round there to have another look, and give it another go. And in relation to the first post, I was off my head but not driving anywhere (ive learned that lesson prior).
It's just where the key snapped is like three quarter way down so it's well and truly in there. No locksmith is answering this morning (and quite rightly so!)...

Well, I believe you're f'd toss-pot. Dibs on the Alpina's if the Po-po tow it and mess the thing up.

Go get a door stop and a coat hanger and use the coat hanger to open the door from the inside. Then you need to open the hood and hot wire the car at the starter motor.

you can also get the car towed back to your house even with out opening it, and then do all of this at home.
