Yupp! My sister is due in the next 3-6 hours! I'm heading over to the hospital now.

how cool would it be if she popped it out at midnight?!?! its a possibility, though small, obviously. so those are my plans for the night! wish her luck, the baby is healthy but they have to induce labor 3 weeks early because my sister is
"preclemsic" (spelling?), which is high blood pressure and some other stuff.

So needless to say, her house isnt ready, but the baby is coming! the baby will be at the hospital for 3 extra weeks in "pre-natal" or w/e its called.

so the baby popped out a little later than expected. 5:33 am to be exact. sooooooo tired and sore from sitting in the waiting room for so long. but a good night overall. just woke up from a bit of a nap.

O and once the baby gets home its going for a quick little stroll in the E30! just around the block to get her used to the feel and smell to hopefully put the E30 thoughts in her brain :P

It's called the NICU(Neo-natal ICU). Mine were in there for 3 & 4 mos after birth.

Let your sister know that she is allowed to go into the NICU when the Doctor's do rounds with the Nurses to discuss the progress of HER child, but she must leave when they discuss the others. My wife did this all the time, she basically lived at the Hospital for 3 mos while ours were in there. You'd be amazed the shit they try to pull. One Doctor threatened my Wife with calling Social Services b/c she refused to sign the consent for a TRACHEOTOMY that he was convinced my daughetr needed!!! One of the nurses had already told my Wife the Dr. wanted to do it and to refuse, refuse, refuse. Well, my daughter pulled out of it 2 weeks later, without a hole in here throat/neck.

The hospital shes at is knows for their "NICU" section, so we're pretty confident the baby will be good :) but ill let her know about the rounds.

My mom is a midwife working in an NICU. She has dozens and dozens of horror stories like that. I've heard of two that the doctor did something she knew didn't need to be done, told the parents her side, and the parents let the doctor do what he wanted and the kids turn out fucked up. My friend has two lazy eyes because he was born with one, and a doctor tried to fix it by making the normal eye match the lazy one..
