They're officially on the metric system, but a lot of the older population still use imperial because that's what they were raised with.

I have one tool box, metric errythang.

Dad has two tool boxes, one SAE, the other metric. Thus, he has two boxes with metric and SAE mixed together.

I don't know if the Brits use metric fasteners. After Whitworth and British Standard (and a couple of others), they switched to us. At least in my experience.

Are the old Rollers whitworth? Where do you even buy those tools?

I know the old jags were. That is why i had to by whitworth wrenches and sockets that i never use anymore.
