Also you could have got a cheaper ati 5870 second hand that would blow the 560 away. I have one and so far I have yet to get below 25fps on any of my games with 1920x1080 res.

Theres your problem. Build your own pc, alienware is overpriced by a long shot compared to what you can do yourself. But for helpful info, the 560ti isn't that much of an upgrade, but you might not have the right drivers.

what is your fps, b/c i find pretty much anything over 30 to be a waste anyways.

My FPS was about 60 in orgrimmar on my 460 on Ultra, and on my 560ti same settings I get 30-40

I'm sorry but who the fuck buys an alienware to play wow? My moms 8 year old computer could play wow seamlessly with a Radeon x1300(?? Dont remember exact model).

I didn't buy an alienware to play WoW. I bought it because I wanted it.

460 was running 79 degrees celsius in BF3, but the 560ti is running 70C with the fan set on 85% (max)

better question: why are you still playing wow

I don't play it anymore, once in a great while I will log in run around for 20 minutes and gank lowbies then log off.

I have BF3 and the 560ti runs it a lot smoother than the 460 though.

this. It took me a while to figure out when i actually was playing but the game is not fun whatsoever, it's just work...A lot of work for no actual payoff.

then again, maybe I just don't find running around for an hour trying to find some witch to give me a mushroom so that i can run back to whence I came and return it to some lazy fucking shopkeeper. also the endless "kill 20 of **" quests really wear thin after the 5th or 6th one you come across.

It's not fun to me anymore, used to play it with local friends

been playing wow 7 years now. i have no soul on tuesday night.

its also about the quality of the product. i have a gtx460 overcloked(factory), phenom II x4 925, 4GB ram on an asus board. no issues running WoW at 1080p nearly maxed out, itunes and vent at the same time 25man raids i get 20-60 fps, 10 man raids 55-100fps.

Do yourself a favor and get some arctic silver. Just a dot in the middle but I know it helped cool down my gtx 280 a lot! (card used to keep my apartment warm in winter) Temperatures went from about 75-80 C under load to 55-60 C.
