Not for trucks though. This is what American car companies do best. big, powerful trucks that can tow/haul anything. Why would you want to get some import truck? Especially not the new Honda truck. That is about the worst thing on the market right now. hideous
Look at old Toyota trucks. They kick ass.

Think of it this way, GM and (god this is hard to say) Ford have been building trucks for roughly 100 years. All the imports 10 tops, who has more experince? Which holds the value after you kick the shit out of it on the farm and construction site.

On the old yoda trucks being good, yeah the 4 banger may indestructable but it is not a truck!! It barlely gets a mini truck rateing, you can barely haul a fridge in those things good off road when moded though but still not a truck!!!

I will reiterate my original statement.

If you're looking for a half ton gasser, get the titan.

The new F150 is a disco truck. Overweight with horrid performance. The GM/Chevy is crap.

Price to performance, you aren't gonna go wrong with the Titan. It's essentially a 3/4 ton truck marketed as a 1/2 ton.

I love GM/Chevy trucks... and their SUVs as well... Ford trucks have the "vaguest" steering I have ever felt.

no. the "hemi" is the same engine that the '98 Dodge Ram V8 Magnum has.

Its all marketing. And as far as Dodges go, the diesel Ram 2500 is the best. That is all.

so is that how you explain the hemi's 270hp at the wheels stock, chevy's biggest V8 in the 1500 the SS 6.0 liter can barely put down 230hp to the wheels and the other 1500 with the 5.3 barely lays down 200whp. A stock hemi truck will kill a stock auto trans am. My dad had a 2002 5.9 and traded it for the 5.7, the 5.9 wouldnt chirp the tires going into 3rd gear with the auto tranny, they are not even close being similar other than the word magnum. Yeah the cummins straight 6 is an awesome motor with alot of torque but I am not a fan of the diesel noises.

Well, how heavy are you thinking, and how often will you be pulling a load.

A huge diesel truck is the best choice if it will see alot of towing use, but if its only a small load/occasional use, a v8 gas truck would be better.

And let's see a hemi vs. cummins race... towing a boat... uphill.

the cummins has 600lb ft of torque, more than any other diesel, not comp for the hemi uphill, but how about a comparo in the 1/4

I'd take you up on that.

                              Your dad's hemi vs. my dad's cummins.....or should I say banks/cummins?
