Unhappy with your job? Become self employed.

I have been working on cars since my 2nd year of highschool. I'm up to 10 years in the industry, in that time I have acquired ASE master tech certs and Nissan Specialist certs.

Recently I told my boss to fuck off after he decided to cut everyone's pay, I began doing side work to raise income, and now I am in my own shop with another old friend.

We aren't making much right now, but it is enough to pay the bills. Funny thing is, that even though my income is less, I have NEVER been happier. Life is good when you are your own boss.

If you have been considering taking the plunge, do it, I promise you will not regret it.

This may not speak to everyone, but i'm sure at least one person reading this will take something away from it.

I second this. I'm in a total of 8 years as of this month. Last 4 years I've been on and off with the biz cause of school but since that's kinda done, I've been able to concentrate on this business. Not making a whole lot, but I sure am having a shit ton of fun doing what I love to do.

dood, it's too hard, and ya gotsta think and shit all on your own.

I say hells NO, it's far easier wasting my life and constantly complaining that things never go my way with the shitty job I have and all other shitty jobs I've had 4, and any future shitty job I plan to have in the future.
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

Good work guys! I need to work towards this my self. I have some ideas that i think will pan out. I believe that if you really love what you are doing it will pan out because you will have dedication you never had working for some one ells and because you enjoy what you are doing your product will be just that much better.
