    Rant!

So i broke a rocker arm around thanksgiving. so ive been working on my car since then, putting an all new head in because 2 valve tips were mashed and i got a great deal on a brand new one with springs and valves already in it.
ive been working on it for so long, becuase i dont know what im doing it takes me hella long to do it. i got it all together tonite and the GOD DAMNED THROTTLEBODY COOLANT THINGY LEAKED! so i have to wait at least till monday to get a cork gasket. also my exhaust leaks on one of the down pipes. long story short i do not like working on cars! it is not fun and i hope to never do this again.........................But i have to because i cant afford to have someone else do it!

i know this thread is retarded but i feel like being retarded right now.

Why not just bypass the throttle body coolant block? There's no gain to doing it, but there's no loss either.

you can go to the parts store and buy a sheet of gasket material and cut a new throttle body heater gasket out of that with an excato knife, to get you by till you can get a OEM 1

or do what jake says and hose barb the inlet and out let hoses together and not worry about it at all. Or you can cut the hoses off short and shove a bolt or plastic golf T in them and hose clamp them in and forget about it as well.

Meh, I hate working on cars as well.

But if you want enough money to modify them and have fun them, doing your own work is a necessity.

I'm in the same boat... but I like to understand the job being done because being car illiterate is not only frustrating but costly.

My e30s have revealed to me the inner joy of working on ... e30s.

                              Fuck other cars, however.
