On a more serious note its because there are rich and famous people and a hundred thousand people in a single place. If some nutjob wanted to sneak in with a bomb/gun/etc and go on a spree youd think a trained marksman with a 308/338 would come in really handy.

Exactly. They should have put a ticket under one lucky persons seat and then at half time they would tell everyone to check for the ticket under their seat. You know the guy would stand up waving the ticket thinking he won a prize.
