this is my car. it runs and drives everyday.
That was my friends car. We swapped an LSD in it and after a week's total of driving the car he totaled it into a tree because he tried drifting.Originally posted by TSI♫ Rust flecks are falling on my head...♫OEM+Comment

Speaking generically, not to OP specifically:
1. First off, don't take your own life. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Depression is a feeling, it won't usually last more than a year.
2. Sunshine and exercise have proven more effective in treating depression than any form of anti-depressant pills.
3. Moderate amounts of alcohol can sometimes help, however alcoholism is extremely bad, so this treatment carries a lot of risk. If you already drink a lot, try going to an AA meeting and explain to the guys why you're not really an alcoholic.
4. Sleep deprivation can help with depression, but it has other side effects.
5. Whatever problems are making you depressed may be un-solvable. Weirdly, reaching out to help others, whether those close to you, or random strangers, say through charity or volunteer work, can bring your emotions and energy level back into balance. This works even if your original problem remains or gets worse.
6. Consider a change of circumstances. A new job, new town, new friends, and for God's sake, dump your E30 and get a car that runs, like a Honda or Toyota. :)
7. I hesitate to go here in this forum, but you can consider exploring the question of God and whether you want to get personally involved with Him/Her/That.
8. Get a massage. Not from the human trafficking victims at your local asian spa, but a real licensed therapist that can beat on you like a rented mule. This treatment releases a lot of endorphins.
9. Eat a lot of spicy food. Also releases endorphins.
10. Engage with your friends at a deeper than surface level. You will lose some that just want to keep it light and hang out, but will connect on a stronger level with those that remain. This can be powerful stuff, and you might find out that they have challenges as well.
Good luck - Lots of people have gotten through depression and emerged stronger on the back side. And don't dump your E30, I was just kidding. Or was I?Comment

Depression sucks. Some have it worse than others, it can make a person have to quit their job or even take their own life. Many people just think it kind of a joke and that it's easy to overcome but this is not always true. Drugs are very bad to take while one is depressed. Anti depressants can help a bit but it mostly matters about the persons mind set and wanting to achieve overall happiness. Anxiety is also very shitty. Some people may look at depression an anxiety as a terrible never ending disease but when a person overcomes it they come out as a stronger person. Just my 2 cents on this matter...Comment
