Depends on the job, some years I work 12 months and others I work 7-8 months out of the year. The hours vary greatly on the job and type of turbine we are putting up. With a GE for example we can stack 5-6 in a 12 hour shift and would work 6-7 days a week. But if it's say a Gamesa turbine we average 1.5-2 turbines in 12-15 hours, and generally always 7 days a week. The company I work for put the cap at 75hrs in a week but, we almost always go over and usually hit over 90hrs.
Longest day recently was 18.75 hrs, all paid hourly with time and a half after 8 hrs and double time after 10-12 hrs, depends on the part of the country and the locals contract.

I'm only 22 but I was lucky enough to have all 9-5 jobs for most of my part time job career. I worked at a hotel recently and the shifts were kind of shitty. 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. They varied throughout the week and it was hard to adjust.

I'm a huge fan of the 9-5 job because I like routine. However, I'd be willing to work weird hours if it was my own job or a job I truly liked.

Been working second shift for almost two years now, 2pm - 10:30pm

If i'm able to get to bed soon after getting home from work, then I can get up early the next day to get things done, and go to class. The only real advantage though is that I get an extra $0.60 an hour.

I'm moving to first shift as soon as this semester ends.

About 7am - 7 or 8pm on average Mon-Sat and many times Sunday as well. Coffee helps a lot.

Iv worked 3rd shift for almost 4 years now and I love it. I work from 9:00pm to 5:00am and I like being able to get up before a lot of people get off work.

3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday. We call it swing, but it is the second shift of the day. There is no third shift.

I like it though. 10 hour days are MUCH better then 8, and I get to sleep in and still have time to get something done before work. 3-day weekends also kick ass.

used to do 730-330. Was great, got my 40 in, ate at my desk throughout the day, and left early.
