Shoes running $90-175 and a disproportionate number of their owners will be getting govt benefits. Its why those programs never work to get people out of poverty, they are poor because they are stupid.

I was thinking along the same lines, but didn't want to spark a racial debate this morning.

It doesnt really have to be about race, even if one race is over-represented. If you are speaking specifically to basketball shoes you will see it but even white people do some stupid ass shit financially. You get white people wanting to be bailed out of their house they couldn't afford and cashed in the equity to build a pool.

You guys obviously know not a fucking lick of what you speak of.

Those foamposite Pennys are popular because
1)They are a retro-like release, and in very limited numbers
2)Our age group of people grew up wearing that original Penny shoe, which is also worth a good bit on DS or even used. They hold a personal value for the prospective buyer -
3)The name of the game is to buy cheap, resell at a large profit. You will see those $250 retail Pennies drop for over 2 grand on eBay. I wouldnt doubt a lot of those people are from boutique clothing shops or there to buy and resell only and make money.

Those people are just like us. Has nothing to do with race. Nike throttles the industry like this to create hype and value. Its called capitalism. Ridiculous that yall would assume the people waiting in line are receiving government benefits. What gives you the right to make that assumptionl? The shoe game is a collectors sport just like knives, guns, E30s, etc. This shit happens pretty much everytime a shit load of people wait in line for a long time for something in limited numbers that they still might not even be able to buy once its their turn. Including rich white kids that want Xboxs, Apple iPhones, yada yada.

                        Absolutely.

All people are "equal". Just like you know... a Dachshund and a Greyhound can run the same speed and a Chihuahua and a German Shepherd have the same temperament. All dogs are the same. In fact I'm planning to enter next years Iditarod with a pack of Shi Tzu's led by a pit-bull. Should turn out great. Diversity will be my strength.

Um...no, we are talking about people who can not control themselves because they must buy some rare shoes. I don't care what you are buying or what color your skin is, feel free to label yourself as trash if you can't act appropriately in a line.

For the record, I look down on black Friday shoppers (which include every race and demographic) every bit as much as these people.

The funniest part of this is that I live less than 75 miles from O-town and this isn't news. Typical shit in lovely Florida. I swear all the people moving down here lately are retards or retired people.
