    Post high school

Well, I'm in my last semester of high school now. I've had pretty decent grades and I could go to college right away. Not sure if I'm ready to however.

Just curious, what did you all do when you graduated? Did you have a job lined up for you? Did you go to college? Did you travel?

Because at this point, I don't have a god damn clue what I am doing.

Go to college. If you take a break you'll be tempted to stick with your deadbeat job because it'll be less work than going to college. Unless of course you get some random awesome job you can see yourself advancing in for the rest of your life, then go for it.

Go to a CC. You are going to fuck up/fuck off your first year in collage. Might as well blow $ on cheaper school than a university.

Definitely finish up your schooling now.. I know way too many people who took that "break" that ended up with them not wanting to go back and stuck with their barely-above minimum-wage job..

I would suggest you take it easy the first semester so you don't overwhelm yourself to the college experience. My first semester i took 4 classes (like 13 units), ended up dropping two of them and failed one... So I suggest you start off slow, or at least take easy classes.

I am only a junior right now , but I plan to go to some four year college for engineering straight out of high school. I know a few people who also took that break and it is probabaly why they have troubles getting by. Just do not be like my brother and think you can have F's and get into any college because he is good at something..

Go to school. Its for the long run, if you get a decent job and tell yourself "fck school, im making good money" youll regret it. Especially with this economy. Youll return to CC as that 45yr old with nothing but a HS diploma to his name. No offense to the older folks going back to school but OP you know you dont wanna be the guy the kids make fun of. So get it done and have a better chance of an easier future.

I went straight to automotive school then took a nice break....

                        ...still on that break.

Going to look at going back to school now. The GF is going back to get her bachelors in Healthcare Admin. I may do something like that now....but something I'd enjoy.

To OP, do the 'Liberal Arts' cirriculum at you local CC, and get your Asscociates Degree. By then you may have a better idea what you want to do.

I did my Assoc. at a local CC, then transferred to the big University nearby. I was on academic probation, then decided to take a break. That was 14yrs ago. Not getting my Bachelors' is one thing that to this day(and probably for the rest of my life)I regret very much.

I had no idea either.. but my father pretty much forced me to go to college. Then After A semester I tried dropping out. My father then again forced me back into college. I am Thankful everyday that he made me do that.

So go to college. yeah the teachers suck.. but thats part of life. Youll be glad you went.
