Wheel bent at tire shop

So you got the tires put on mid jan. and just noticed the bend now? A month and a half later? Sorry to say but I think your shit out of luck. You had the wheels on for a month and a half. There is no way you can prove you didn't hit anything. If you would have brought it to their attention a day or two after you got the tires put on then you might be able to nail them for it. -
Of course theyre going to deny it, did you feel vibrate or anything before you left tire shop?Leave a comment:

The tire machine that can really bend a wheel easily is the post type. A coats 3030 like what I have can do it if you're REALLY not paying attention.
I haven't seen one of those in a shop for over 10 years. They're all rim clamp. While the bead breaker can bend a wheel, it's really, really hard to.Leave a comment:

If that were to happen there would definitely be tooling marks.
I would say it was already bent, and since it was on the left rear you didn't notice it.Leave a comment:

Probably hit the rim with the bead breaker.
Although, to bend a rim on a tire machine... You'd have to try pretty hard.Leave a comment:

Wheel bent at tire shop
I had a pair of studded tires mounted on my car at a Big O Tires near me in mid January, and had em on until I mounted new ones the other day. On the balancer it was clear that my left rear wheel had a pretty significant bend in it. I haven't hit anything, or even curbed that wheel since January so really the only thing it could have been was Big O being morons. I went in and talked to them and of course they denied it saying it was my fault and wasn't even possible to bend a wheel with their machines, the same machines I've bent wheels with in auto class. How should I go about handling this? I thought about emailing corporate, but without proof they'll probably call it my fault too and I'll never get my wheel monies.
Fuck these bastards, Im too broke for this.Tags: None
