    1st gen ipod nano recall.

This page lists all programs currently offered by Apple, including Replacement programs, Exchange programs, Repair Extension programs and Recalls.

anyone else hear about this or utilize it?
I'm about to ship out 3 1st iPod nano's that are all eligible,
and in return they'll replace each of them with 6th gen 8gb iPod nano's.
    pretty stoked.

        and your click wheel :(

I wasn't particularly stoked when i got a new one back for my 1st gen. I have more capacity now but I can't use rockbox so I have mixed feelings.

yeah from my understanding the first few months they offered the return of an original 1st gen ipod nano and instead sent everyone the 6th gen with out informing the customers.
pretty bad on customer service if you ask me.
but i don't mind, i like the new 6th gen. plus i can flip them for cash on CL.

you might want to see how much you get for those 1st gens before sending them in and flipping the new ones, then

eh not to worried about it.
i got the 1st gens all for free.
ill end up keeping one, and giving the other two new 6th gens to my friends who were the ones who gave me the 1st gens.

                Karma points 4 u.

I'm still not to keen on having another apple product in my house. It's bad enough that I have to have a boot of OSX on my PC. Even if it is free. Sooo... Maybe I'll do it and give it to my mom or something.

When I first head of this, they said they would be replacing with 1st gens. I thought that was preposterous but like the idea anyways. Got my shipping stuff pretty quick, but forgot to send it in until about three weeks ago...still waiting for something new to show up.

Edit: I just checked the status: replacement pending.

So...if I find one on ebay or a pawn shop around here I could still do this? My 3rd gen nano gets a battery of 2 hours now...

                      CHEAP R3V POST.

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

If only they'd do this with 1st gen iPod Touch's. My car could use a new iPod...
