I have also read the is even a deeper web on the deep web that requires skillz unknown to this world to use.

On another not time to start buying old GPU's and start mining shit.

Rsully dose the software use opengl, opencl? and if so what version are you running on?

LOL, that rig had to have cost over 30 grand or something. And think of the energy bill for that shit. Christ.
Although someone did do the math on youtube and it came out to around $195k a year!

You can get the software to mine off the net. Its called guiMiner. Uses pyopencl i think.

there is also the local web...
unite your wifi with all your neighbors, setup a NAS so the more, the merrier, and it is ALL free.

as technology grows, and if we (as a species) work together, we can all have free internets, and no stupid ISP bills ever again..

I'm sure there's deeper. It's just a matter of research and execution.

I mine with a Pheonix miner, I get the highest Mhash/s's out of it. This is all very new to me, I'm just going at it full speed haha.

Tread the darkest parts of the web carefully gentleman.

The deep web is partially why the NSA is building this:

The former NSA official held his thumb and forefinger close together: “We are that far from a turnkey totalitarian state.”

If that doesn't scare you, I don't know what should.

That is cool, yet so not cool at the same time.

Fucked up though, you guys might as well just through your constitution out of the window.

This. Sure I support it for national security, but FFS that's a little extreme. I don't mind the whole airport shit (believe me they pull me aside every single time and I fly a lot- Ross Christopher Sullivan was apparently a serial killer that got away lol, not to mention my beard makes me look middle eastern) searching packages, wiring tapping if it could legitimately be put to use, etc. But I look up some weird shit, I'll admit it just for the sake of knowledge- but I also wouldn't want to end up in Guantanamo Bay over it.

It's not Gitmo anymore, I hear they outsourced it to some Romanian joint :)

                      Update:

I guess I have $30 worth of "internet currency" as of now. Not bad, not bad. FYI for those who are going to chime in "it took you since the 19th?" ....I don't run my PC 24/7 and I was gone for a solid 3-4 days from my PC and still managed to pull this in-not bad for doing absolutely nothing. ::chants:: GPU! GPU! GPU!

                        Nice dude!

You guys think my e8400 4.0 overclock and 9600gt could run this?

                        Comment

You could always give it a shot. I'd need to know some more specs on your computer. It looks like it's getting a little old there. My video card was released in 2011, yours was 2008. I also have a dedicated 1GB, yours is 512MB from what it looks like. I don't know too much about overclocking. I'm setting up my buddies computer who has a GFG (godly fucking godly) 2GB VC and another friend with a 3GB VC and see how those run.

I might do a write up on how to do this.

That aftermarket cooler would come in hand, it's hot as shit to begin weather wise, so running my video card at full load gets the temps up pretty high. I opened up the side and put a regular oscillating fan next to it to help it out. It actually can make a 10*C difference.

The only thing I'm concerned about is your ram and vc. It definitely slows down your PC if you're trying to multitask. I have a second monitor dedicated to bitcoining just to keep it out of my way. When I watch Netflix on my primary monitor I can tell it's really being put to work. Also running other programs while you're mining slows down your mining rate. It's rated in MH/s, if I'm completely off my computer I can clock 555 MH/s no problem, but for instance-I'm on here right now and watching Family Guy so I'm down to 250 MH/s.

Honestly if you don't have an upgraded video card (and probably power supply) it's not worth it. It works solely off of GPU output.

I'll have to do a comprehensive write up, I'm not going to explain the deep web or the silk road, that's something you have to find on your own. But I will explain Bitcoin mining since it's legal. I have a few friends that would benefit from a write up too, so give me some time.

This guy "TechPC" who's in my mining pool has solved 88 blocks by himself. If your computer solves this insane, impossible mathematical solution on it's own (which is nearly impossible, that's why people create pools) you're awarded 50 bitcoins. If your team solves it, you get a share of how much effort your PC put in. 88 blocks x 50 bitcoins = 4400. 4400 x $30 = $132,000. TechPC has made a six figure salary like it's nothing.
